The “Energy Efficient School” project is implemented by the Regional Advocacy Center – Delchevo. The objectives of the project are as follows: implementing energy efficiency measures to reduce environment pollution especially the emissions of greenhouse gases; hot water production for cleaning the school and hot water for personal hygiene of the learners, mainly for students that use the gym for sports and recreation; promotion of energy efficiency and project activities through development of promotional materials. By implementing this project the following results will be achieved: raised awareness about energy efficiency among of least 700 students and 100 employees of primary school “Vancho Prke from Delchevo, raised awareness of at least 2000 citizens by distributing promotional materials and promotion in the media; installation of six collector systems with a capacity of more than 160 liters of water; 30% more learners use the gym in the school due to the improved hygiene; distributed promotional materials and a large number of people duly informed; two press-conferences held and activities and results accordingly promoted.
Activities implemented within the project:
- Press conference was held to present the objectives, activities and the results of the project. This press conference took place on 23.10.2015 in the primary school Vancho Prkje in Delchevo. The press conference was attended by students and teachers from the school, as well as representatives of the local media. There is an attendance list, presentation and a video recording from the press conference.
- A tender procedure was conducted for Supply and installation of solar collectors. Three bidders applied to the open call, out of which only the company VIPLAST JTD from Delchevo had all the necessary documents and met the conditions contained in the tender’s requirements. Seven collector systems were installed and linked with new installations in the school toilets, as well as with the toilets and showers in the sports hall.
- In addition, one-day energy efficiency workshop was organized, for the employees of the school and parents as a target group.
- Promotional materials on both energy efficiency and project results were developed and distributed.
