Farmahem is a privately-owned trade and consulting company established in 1990. Its work is organized in 5 departments and it has 30 employees. The majority of the employees are specialists, holding PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degrees in environmental science engineering and economics.
Farmahem is among the leading private companies in the category of SMEs in North Macedonia. Consequently, Farmahem was awarded 1st prize for Corporate Social Responsibility in South East Europe in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the category of small- and medium-sized enterprises in North Macedonia.
Farmahem puts an emphasis on quality assurance of provided services. Therefore, the Quality Assurance
Management System in accordance with requirements of the EN ISO 9001:2008 was established.
One of the main commitments of Farmahem is environmental protection and promotion in North Macedonia and in the region. For the purpose of meeting its main commitment, in its early days Farmahem began to develop what at that time was a new direction for work by offering environmental consulting services and establishing the Department for Environmental Consulting. Building its experience and reputation on professional and quality implementations of major projects, Farmahem became the first and leading company in the Republic of North Macedonia to offer complete consulting services in the field of environmental protection and promotion. The consulting department focuses its activities on environmental protection, integrated waste management, water management and introduction of new “cleaner” technologies.
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is a specialized non-profit development association. It is denominationally and politically independent.
The organization represents the experience of Helvetas (Swiss Association for International Cooperation), founded in 1955 as Switzerland’s first private organization for development and cooperation, and of Intercooperation (Swiss Foundation for Development and International Cooperation), a knowledge sharing organisation, combining the professional approach and social commitments. It operates under the brand name HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation following the merger of the two organizations.
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is committed to working towards elimination of the causes of poverty and marginalization in the world, especially in the South and in the East. Its mission is to make an active contribution to improving the living conditions of economically, socially and politically disadvantaged people as part of the human rights programme.
