The offer of the Educational Centre for Nature Conservation in Negrevo has just expanded with new content. The International Car Free Day in Pechevo was marked with a promotion of the educational cycling track between the town of Pehcevo and the Educational Centre for Nature Conservation in the village of Negrevo. The event was held in cooperation with Eco Logic and CYCLING SCHOOLS of the Vanco Kitanov primary school in Pehcevo, the Municipality of Pehcevo and the Educational Centre for Nature Conservation in Negrevo.
With Swiss support, through the Nature Conservation Programme (NCP), the track was created by Eco Logic and CYCLING SCHOOLS, an educational programme where the Pehcevo-based Vanco Kitanov school is involved. The track is 6.5 km long, with 200 meters’ difference in altitude, which puts it in the category of easy tracks. It consists of 15 educational boards that inform children and parents about the basics of cycling, proper riding at different terrains, types of bicycles, basic bicycle maintenance and many other useful info about cycling adventures.
This interesting feature would further promote the region, with a focus on the potential for recreational tourism aimed at the children and families.
