Workshops for presentation of regional forest development plan

Workshops for presentation of the Regional Forest Development Plan were held on 27 June in Kocani and 29 June in Kavadarci. The goal of the workshops was to inform stakeholders from these regions about regional forest management and to share experiences from the preparation and implementation of the pilot Regional Forest Development Plan in the Malesevo region (Berovo and Pehcevo), as well as to provide guidelines for the process of developing a Regional Forest Development Plan.

Representatives of the Nature Conservation Programme acquainted the attendees with the idea of the Regional Forest Development Plan, they presented the already developed Regional Forest Development Plan for the Malesevo region (Berovo and Pehcevo) as well as the process necessary to develop and implement a regional forest development plan. Furthermore, representatives of the Municipality of Berovo and the Municipality of Pehcevo who were directly involved in the working group that prepared the plan, presented their experience from the whole process of preparation and implementation of some of the priorities. The workshops that were held as part of the Nature Conservation Programme (NCP), a project by the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC) and coordinated by Farmahem from Skopje, were attended by representatives of various stakeholders.
