Geotourism is visiting, sightseeing, photographing and enjoying rare and interesting geo attractions. It is mostly part of various activities such as trekking, mountain biking, jeep safari and other types of tours in nature. In this respect, geotourism has a good potential for development in the Pehcevo area, with its interesting, striking and rare erosive forms – badlands, particularly several huge badlands near the village of Crnik. Especially exhilarating is the visit to the stone dolls Kukulje near the village of Nov Istevnik.
The starting point for visiting these sites could be Pehcevo, Berovo or Delcevo since they are at a short distance (8-10 km). Thus, all these attractions can be visited at leisure during a one-day tour. In this area (Pijanec) there are also the stone dolls (Kukulje) 3 km southwest of the village of Trabotiviste, then the rocks and the Konjska Dupka cave by the village of Grad near Delcevo, the Kiselica cave by the eponymous village and of course, the sites where fossils were found near the village of Stamer. All these places have their own values and importance, while the caves can also be an adventurous challenge because they are between 40-80 m long.
From aspect of geotourism, to the north, the entire valley of Kamenicka River is interesting with its numerous flooded areas, huge alluviums, landslides and other phenomena in the area. Makedonska Kamenica can also be the starting point, since in its vicinity there are numerous other attractions. Thus, to the west is the imposing Istibanjska Gorge with steep rocks, sheer faces and numerous escarpments in various forms. In the rocks between the villages of Sasa and Istibanja there are occasional black layers of shale rich with ore deposits.
