Memorandum for Cooperation Signed between the Nature Conservation Programme in Macedonia and the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi”

The Nature Conservation Programme in Macedonia makes continuous efforts in order to include all interested parties in the activities of the Programme, thus confirming the comprehensive approach of this Programme. For that purpose, on 10/12/2014 the international Team Leader of the Nature Conservation Programme in Macedonia, Mrs. Zora Urech and the Assistant Director of the Sector for Information and Communication Technologies, Investments and Development, Mr. Kosta Parlapanov on behalf of the Managing Director of the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi”, Mr. Zharko Karadjovski, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the NCP in Macedonia and the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi”. This Memorandum has laid the foundations for future cooperation between the NCP in Macedonia and the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi” in terms of cooperation on joint projects within the NCP in Macedonia, development of the capacities of the employees of the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi”, arrangement of field visits, exchange of information and materials, exchange of scientific and technical knowledge and different practices, organisation of meetings and workshops, as well as promoting other cooperation activities

The cooperation between the Nature Conservation Programme in Macedonia and the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi” has the potential to develop in the components of the Programme associated with conservation of the agrobiodiversity and the protected areas, as well as in the component for cooperation with the Faculty of Forestry. As part of the cooperation, special emphasis shall also be put on the cooperation between the Nature Conservation Programme in Macedonia and the regional offices of the Public Enterprise “Makedonski shumi” located in the Bregalnica Region.
